Beef Pickle

Today I am here with a dry and spicy black beauty...the beef pickle..This pickle is not prepared by me..the magical hands behind this lip smacking, finger licking pickle are of my sweet mom-in-law..



Ingredients :
  • Beef (cut into small cubes) : 500 gms
For marination
  1. Chilly Powder : 2 tsp
  2. Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
  3. Meat Masala : 1 tsp
  4. Pepper Powder : 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt
For sauteing :
  1. Garlic : 20 small
  2. Ginger julienned : 2 tsp
  3. Green Chilly(slitted ) : 3-4
  4. Mustard &Fenugreek powder : 1 tsp(dry roast mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds in 1:1 proportion and grind finely)
  5. Vinegar : 1 tsp


Method :
  • Wash and drain the beef pieces.
  • Marinate them with the ingredients under marination and keep aside for half n hour.
  • Pressure cook them for 5-6 whistles in medium flame , without adding water 
  • Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the beef pieces and drain them .
  • Add garlic,ginger julienned,slitted green chillies in the same oil and saute well till the colour slightly changes.
  • Now add the fried beef ,add  the mustard,fenugreek powder and mix them well.
  • Keep the pan in medium flame in 5-10 minutes uncovered.Stir and mix frequently.
  • Switch off the flame.
  • Add vinegar when it completely cools.
