Pasta Biryani - Pasta in Spicy Chicken Masala

This delicious recipe is a  fusion of Indian Biryani and Italian Pasta... Very easy to make and having the full flavours of our normal Biryani,but here pasta is used instead of rice..
Try it out and enjoy!!!!!!!!!


Ingredients 

  1. Pasta : 1 cup(before cooking)
  2. Chicken : 500gm (cut into medium size pieces,preferably boneless)
  3. Onion (Chopped) :1
  4. Ginger-Garlic Paste :2 tsp
  5. Juice of 1 lemon
  6. Green Chilly (Chopped): 2-3
  7. Tomato(Chopped) : 1 big
  8. Coriander leaves(chopped) : 2 tbsp
  9. Mint leaves(Chopped ) 1 tbsp
  10. Red chilly Powder : 1.5 tsp(divide into two portions)
  11. Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp(divide into two portions)
  12. Garam Masala : 1 tsp(divide into two portions)
  13. Salt
  14. Cooking Oil


Method 

  • Marinate the chicken pieces with one portion of  red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt.
  • Heat oil in a pan and shallw fry the chicken till it turns brown colour.
  • Drain them from the oil and keep aside.
  • Add the finely chopped onion,green chilly,ginger garlic paste and saute till it turns brown.
  • Add the chopped tomato and the remaining portions of all the powders.
  • Saute till the raw smell goes.
  • Now add the lime juice,cooked chicken and stir to combine wholetogether.
  • Add 2 tbsps of water , cover the pan and cook in medium flame till the chicken pieces become soft.
  • Now the masala part is over.
  • Cook pasta according to the packet instructions.
  • Drain well and mix them in the chicken masala. Keep the pan in medium flame for 2-3 minutes.The cooked pasta should be well coated with the chicken masala.
  • Switch off the flame..Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Tuna Pasta / Tuna Macaroni

A simple , quick meal in my home is always with tuna or pasta..When it combines together, the making is so simple and fast..Canned tuna is always a handy tool , when we are too lazy or have no time or mood for elaborate cooking.


It was my regular lunch box item in my office ,when Appu was a play school kid and the time when I have no aware of cooking something complex and delicious. But the matters changed..Now with Allah's grace I'm a food blogger with little knowledge about cooking from different sources,especially my beloved mom and mom-in-law.



Ingredients :

  1. Pasta : 250gm
  2. Canned Tuna : 1 can 
  3. Onion : 2 small
  4. Ginger garlic Paste : 2tsp
  5. Tomato : 1 (chopped )
  6. Tomato paste : 1 tbsp
  7. Curry Leaves : 2 springs.
  8. Chicken Masala : 2-3 tsp
  9. Pepper Powder : 1 tsp
  10. Fennel Powder : 1 tsp
  11. Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp 
  12. Salt
  13. Sunflower Oil



Method :

  • Cook pasta according to the directions in the packet,drain and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion and curry leaves.
  • Saute until the onions get transluscent and add ginger garlic paste 
  • Saute for some time and add chopped tomatoes.
  • Saute well until the tomatoes get soft and then add the tomato paste and salt. .
  • Stir well to combine the masala well.
  • Now add tuna and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Finally add the cooked pasta and combine altogether.
  • Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes in medium flame.
  • Open the pan ,stir well to mix well and switch off the flame

Creamy Chicken Pasta

My son always complains that everyday he only has home made healthy foods in his lunch box like idli, Dosa, Fried Rice etc..etc...And here's a healthy change for him.......


Ingredients :

  1. Pasta : 1 Cup
  2. Chicken Boneless : 1/2 Cup
  3. Onion : 2(sliced)
  4. Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tsp
  5. Green Chillies : 2-3(Slitted)
  6. Tomato :1 (Chopped)
  7. Meat Masala : 2-3 tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
  9. Pepper Powder : 1 tsp
  10. Garam Masala : 1/2 tsp
  11. For making White Sauce :
  12. Butter : 2 tbsp
  13. Maida : 1 tsp
  14. Milk : 1/4 cup
  15. Pepper powder : 1/2 tsp
  16. Salt 


Method :

  • Cook the chicken with all the ingredients from 3-10.
  • Cook Pasta well (I cook in pressure cooker . 3 whistles are required in medium flame)
  • Heat butter in a pan and add maida in it..
  • Stir well in low flame and add milk,pepper powder and a pinch salt and allow to slight boiling (Now the white sauce is ready..).
  • Add the cooked pasta and chicken into the white sauce and combine well.
