This is an all time favourite
Sunday beef recipe in my home. My mom
used to make this dish as a running gravy in the morning ,roast at night and
fry in the next morning. But when all children grew up, it finishes as the
morning curry itself. But I like it as the form of night roast…And now I am
preparing in only one form ,the great roast…
Ingredients :
- Beef : 500 gm
- Onion : 2-3 chopped
- Green chilly : 2 slitted
- Curry leaves : 2 springs
- Ginger Garlic paste : 1 tsp
- Coconut slices : ½ cup
- Red chilly powder and coriander powder roasted in the ratio (2: 1 tsp) : 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
- Pepper powder: 1 tsp
- Fennel Powder : 2 tsp
- Salt
- Oil
Method :
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the sliced onion, green chilly and curry leaves.
- Saute them well.
- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté again.
- When the raw smell goes add all the powders and combine well.
- Add the beef pieces, coconut slices and mix well with the masala.
- Close the lid and wait for 5-6 whistles in medium flame.
- When the pressure releases completely open the lid and transfer the meat gravy mixture into another pan
- Roast well in high flame.
can be served with any kind of rotis, rice , ghee rice etc........
