Dal Tadka/Tadka Dal

An easy to make, flavourful and delicious Indian Dal dish. 

Tur Dal : 1/4 cup
Channa Dal:1/2 cup
Onion chopped:2
Ginger garlic paste:1/2 tsp
Tomato chopped:2
Green Chily chopped :2
Chilly powder:3/4 tsp
Coriander powder:1/2tsp
Turmeric powder:1/4tsp
Cumin powder:1/4tsp
Cumin seeds:1/2tsp
Coriander leaves:1/2tsp
Cooking oil

Cook dal in a pressure cooker by adding little water.
(do not cook too much.)
Heat oil in a pan and saute onions,green chillies well.
When the onions get soft,add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes get mushy.
Add all the powders one by one and saute till the raw smell goes.
Add this sauted mix into the cooked Dal and boil for 2-3 minutes .
Heat oil in a small pan, splutter cumin seeds and add into curry.
Garnish with coriander leaves
