Batura

A puffed ,soft and fluffy flat bread made of all purpose flour and yoghurt as the main ingredients with some fermenting agents. It is really easy to make, yet so delicious and fluffy....

Ingredients
All purpose flour: 2 Cups
Thick yoghurt: 2 tbsp
Instant Yeast : 1/2 tsp
Baking powder: 1/4 tsp
Sugar:1tsp
Salt
Semolina:2 -3 tbsp
Warm water
Cooking oil

Method
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Make a small well in the middle ,add yoghurt and start kneading.
If the mix is too dry add little water and make a sticky, soft dough
cover it with a wet cloth and keep aside for 2-3 hours for fermenting. This will become double in size after fermenting.
Make big lemon sized balls out of it and flatten using a rolling pin.( I use oil for flattening. When I used flour for it, it was very difficult for me)
Heat the oil in a deep pan(for deep frying)
Fry well the baturas one by one by flipping them.
Take out and serve hot...

Enjoy.........
The best combination for this battura is Channa Masala. Click the image for the recipe
