Ghee Cake

Todays Recipe : Ghee Cake

Ingredients : 
  1. All Purpose Flour : 1 cup
  2. Baking Powder : 1 tsp
  3. Eggs : (white and yolk separated) : 2 
  4. Powdered Sugar : 1/2 cup+ 2 tbsp
  5. Milk : 1/4 cup
  6. Ghee : 1/2 cup
  7. Vanilla essence : 1/2 tsp

Method :

  • Preheat oven to 180C and prepare the cake pan
  • Sieve flour and baking powder together and keep aside.
  • Take ghee and powdered sugar in a large bowl and beat at high speed till it gets a soft and creamy texture.
  • Now add egg yolks one by one and beat well
  • Add vanilla essence, the dry ingredients and milk little by little and mix well
  • In another bowl(clean and dry) beat the egg whites with 2 tbsp sugar till it doubles in quantity and fluffy.
  • Now fold the egg white mixture into the flour mixture gently 
  • Pour in the prepared pan and bake(middle rack) for 25-30 minutes or an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Take out and let it cool.
