Ingredients :
- Sardines / Mathi - 4-5 pieces
- Pearl Onions - 3-4
- Ginger - a medium piece
- Green Chilly - 2
- Curry Leaves - 2 springs
- Tomato - 1 small(optional)
- Red Chilly Powder : 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Kudampuli - 2 small pieces
- Salt
- Fenugreek Seeds / Uluva : 1/2 tsp
- Coconut Oil
- Water
Method :
- Heat Oil in an earthen pot(manchatti).
- Splutter fenugreek seeds followed by pearl onions, crushed ginger ,slitted green chillies and curry leaves.
- Saute well.
- Now add the powders and saute till the raw smell goes.
- Add half cup water and when it boils add salt, kudampuli and fish pieces.
- Cover and Cook until the gravy reduces to its half.
- Drizzle few drops of oil and 2-3 curry leaves.
The Curry is ready
Serve with hot rice and Moru Curry
